Borderlands - GOTY edition

Is this game worth getting? I have never played it, and saw the GOTY edition released today for only £14. Any good?

Personally I really liked it a good fun game with some good touches and the ability to lvl your character up, was especially good playing with 3 other friends.

Well worth it for that price.

I would say to buy it, i have played it on the console and i love it. I am now considering getting this at £15 so i can play on the PC

I would say buy it only if you have at least one person to play it with. I play it with a mate and we both found it very difficult to play solo, but we really enjoy it playing together. Currently on our second playthrough.

The levelling up and random drops from fallen enemies make it a FPS shooter version of Diablo or Torchlight played in a Mad Max cartoon setting.

We dont have any of the DLC so I can't comment on whether or not the DLC in the GOTY edtion is worth the extra £10 it currently costs from Steam.

I'm playing through it solo, and I'm having a great time. I enjoy games like diablo and torchlight, along with first person shooters- this is a nice hybrid of both styles.

With Borderland GOTY, you also get an interesting bonus - early access to the Duke nukem forever demo, when available.

I must have missed something then, cause it played fine for me? Can you elaborate on the issues??

I was put off by the cartoony graphics for a while but once I got into it it was great.

I haven't had any problems with the Knoxx DLC but I haven't finished it yet

the only problems we had were when you reach the marker sometimes the objective simply was not there. i thought it had just bugged up because we played it over several days so we started it again(whole game from scratch) and the same thing happened. didn't really have this problem with any other of the dlc or main game.

There is an issue with multi-stage objectives, where if you find say, the third piece of a sniper rifle, before the first one, the objective marker doesn't update. Only thing to do is to be very careful not to pick up quest stuff early........

Awesome game but becomes boring very quick if your not playing online....
