Bored already.

Im not now, but I was on incapacity benefit for around 18 months following my bowel surgery about 6 years ago.

I find MMORPGs help pass the time! :D
 
Might want to chuck a post up in the Games section. Those guys can help you waste an entire life. 6 Weeks will be nothing.

I had one of those a few months ago (open surgery), but back at work now.

I had a reaction to the pain meds, so couldn't take painkillers and was in agony for quite a while, aside from the boredom how are you finding it?

To fill up time I just played MMO's and watched tv for most of it, after a week I was tearing my hair out and couldn't wait to get back to work. Last two weeks I was walking around fine but still under order not to return to work because of heavy lifting. For the best I suppose but damn frustrating!
 
I just had a week off work and I was bored stiff! I passed the time by riding my bike and going to the gym - neither of which I'd recommend following a hernia op, so I guess you're gonna be watching a lot of Jeremy Kyle :p
 
Reading is always good, depending on how fast you read most books will last you at least a day, and its a great way to escape the real world for a while :D
