Hi all,

I'm bored of the usual - Pret's/Benjys/Tescos lunch routine.

I work in Cutlers Gardens - Devonshire Square, so pretty close to Liverpool Street.

After some suggestions on where to go for lunch :) - Don't really fancy a sit down lunch, just somewhere I can grab and go.

Many Thanks

Phate :)

I've heard there's a great wrap deli around Liverpool Street somewhere, maybe someone can narrow it down some more?

I know the place you mean,

I think it is called "wrap-around" or something, but It's opposite the station

Yep I know the one you mean. Practically opposite the bishopsgate exit by Tesco's.

I'm in the same position and will be heading to either spittalfields market (various food stalls), Wasabi on moorgate or boring old KFC!

Ah Spittalfields,

Love the Mexican place there, really reccomend the meal that costs £4.95, can't remember the name but you'll see a picture of it on the stall. really REALLY nice. :D

I like the Idonesian place thats quite nice. Still hard to beat Wasabi thats always very nice and quite reasonable at £4.50 odd.

Give that a try Phate, and report back with your findings. :)

Always thought about going in there, but it looks confusing :p lol.

I'll go over there and see if I feel brave enough, if it's packed I'll head somewhere else.

Theres a place nearby called Kellys Food Emporium, gots lots of little places there, and one shop ran by a small phillipino woman, been there before, awesome stuff. Will go there if Wrap-Around is packed out :)

I might go to the wrap place today always been quite tempted but never got around to going there. Nando's has opened near Spittalfields as well, happy days!

Well Wrap-Around was packed so I went to Kellys and got myself a Ciabatta packed to the brim with Coronation Chicken for £2.50

Score!

If you do go there, can you take a mental note of the opening days/times for me? :)

Id love to work closer to a city centre.

Everythings a rip off. Get charged nearly £3 for a sandwich in prete a mange which you could normally pick up for a pound something. My only other option is subway, unless i want to jump on the tube and journey somewhere else for lunch.

Subway is great, but for your first time get a Meatball Marinara. It's some Meatballs with sauce and everything in a Submarine roll, and you can choose what veg and stuff. The best way to have it:
Meat Marinara toasted with cheese! Add Lettuce and Cucumber, and some Pepper. Cheapest today, as it's Tuesday, and it's sub of the day today! At least in my local Subway it is. That's £2 on it's own, as a 6". You can make it a meal, which includes a cookie/crisps and a drink. You can also make it a foot long

I personally love the Footlong Italian BMT, with LOTS of onion, green pepper and chillis, and then add either hot sauce or the honey thingy sauce.

Mmmmmm Subway..

P.S The Meatball one is so damn messy to eat i never bother getting it anymore.

Only playing with ya. :)

Chicken Tikka on footlong wheat, with all the veggies and chili sauce. Gorgeous.
