Whats a good new case to go for, or keep my eye out for?

Looking at a sugo 3 but, I hate that side panel. :P

Anything new on the horizon anyone? In an ideal world I'd love to go smaller.
Then theres that lian li v600 which holds a special place in my heart... with some modding (psu placement etc) it would be stunning.

Bored of my water arangement honestly. Pump is audiable and sounds like a ******* drain. id preffer a tower design too, and the cd drive placement bugs me (pc section i nmy desk is about 2 inches wider than the case.. constantly having to move the case halfway out the desk) Plus my heart wants a v600 :P
And I think ive lost the side panel screws :( haha

Currently pondering if its worth getting a v6 modding the psu to the front and swapping to a new motherboard..

never really thought of itx tbh. I love my 4870 1gb though, could a 4850 power a 24inch? :/


hmmm... 200quid for a motherboard though?

I dont think itx is the near future for me, not with the intensive stuff I do. I could see that itx getting toasty after a few days of rendering :D

New question:

if I do get a v600/similar should I think about a new mobo, maybe atx? Or should I stick with this giga 33m
 
mmmm got it to 3.6ish on here but wasnt happy with the heat on water (topping 80 :/)

I dont think the cpu is anything special in terms of clocks, and with uni I just need something stable that can push renders out. Used to sit at 3.4 easily enough though.

Features I couldn't give a hoot, it works :P I dont think I even have motherboard drivers installed as of (too busy getting it to a state where I can work so I can not fail uni!)

I'll leave it as is for now, cant be bothered with re installing vista again -.-haha

oo it has onboard vga! >.> anyway.. just saw the prices of a new proc and well I think my q6 has a bit of life left ;)
 
well sorted me a cpu cooler (tuniq tower from the mm, always loved the look of them)

now just to grab a spank new case and flog my stuff now :)
When uni work is over I'll lay my teeth into the v600 and do some nifty bits to it

and its so nice :D but my gfx card has died :( lol.

DOnt know if I should de rivet the hdd rack and put the psu at the front or have it held in the top 3 cd rom bays/roof.

I might keep an eye out for a slot loading laptop drive and have that at the top and then the psu under it in the drive bays, instead of the dvd drive in the bottom slot.

my tuniq fits well too :D
 
haha its a bit bodged atm. psu above the dvd drive with the power wire sticking out the front ;)

and i only have my crappy camera phone. I'll try :P
 
well the top io port cables etc are kind of in the way, but its defo sat comfy in there. Fits with my matx gigabyte board and 4870 1gb. Only problem is the psu cable is sticking out a drive bay hole :D haha I need one of those small 90 degree cables.

however its just temp placement untill I de rivet the hdd cage :)

wil ltake some pics now but if they suck ill take some i nthe daylight tomorrow
