Hello guys.

I've played WoW for a fair amount of time, got 3 70's and now it's just gone totally dull on me and I think the only thing that'll interest me back is WoTLK, so until then it'd be nice if I could find another game to keep me busy till then.

I've tried LOTRO, it was a fairly decent game, the graphics were nice and the gameplay was decent, although it did feel like a WoW clone but that's a different matter. I stopped playing it because of the terrible hitching I used to get, I don't know if it's still the same now.

I haven't tried AoC and I'll likely wait until a trial comes out for it before I actually buy it because I've heard mixed things about it.

Another MMO to play would be nice, but I don't mind really, just something that'll keep me hooked for a little while. I like any genre but not RTS.

Any suggestions would be nice. :)

Recently played games (Not many) -

COD4
Crysis
Oblivion

Spec :
E4600 - 4GB - HD 3870.

Pretty much anything you try is gonna be a downgrade as you'll have experienced lots of content that WoW has that other games lack. :(

Happens with me anyway. :p

Yeah I was thinking the same to be honest and that's the main reason I wont be buying AoC just yet. :(

You will have to go into a completely different genre. I suggest you try something like racing games or even console games, where you go for short-term experiences and sessions - the polar opposite of WoW. To get the most out of gaming sessions you have to go to the other end of the spectrum.

I've tried racing games in the past, they seem to get boring very fast for me, maybe if I picked up a really good one that wouldn't be the case. I've heard some good things about GRID.

there was another mmorpg that some people were raving about a while back though it seems to have gone dead, Mythos I think it was called?

It was supposed to be excellent, and a nice isometric view

EQ2 is good. More content than wow imo, but I found that was the problem it was too big. Good if you have a few togetther but solo was a bit too much. Still the best mmo up with wow.

I'm the same with WoW, played it a lot and now got bored. I've tried alternatives to it, but everything either seems like a clone or not as good as WoW. Tried LoTRO, AoC and Tabula Rasa and none of them hooked me, so I'm just waiting for something different to come along. Also tried EVE but it takes ages to get going and unless you have a good number of friends you end up just floating alone.

Was thinking of trying out either Warhammer or WoTLK when they come out but not sure if either of them will hook me.

Diablo 2!

Seriously, ive just gotten back into it and after the conplexity and seriousness of WoW end game raiding its like the best game ever, such a refreshing change, and played with 4-5 mates it turns into a time stealing monster.

As above.. definately avoid age of conan. I am in the same boat actually, 3 70's, not much left to see.. just down on wow for a bit :)

I tried aoc, got to 80, nothing to do, quit.. Avoid aoc.. or if you want something to do for a month or so buy it and play the included month? The game is good up to level 40ish.. first 20 levels or so were all they tested in beta.. lol

Been thinking about trying EQ2 myself actually.. May see if I can grab a copy in town on my way home from work :)

Try Lineage 2, official is pretty boring.. private serves are ok and pvp is by far the best ive seen in any mmo.

Thats what I did. After I quit playing WoW I just stuck with pick-up-and-play style games like Trackmania where I can have a quick blast whenever I want and then just give it some Alt-F4 without having to worry about repercussions.
