Will the heatsink come off the northbridge on the mobo so it can be water cooled? If not, helpful suggestions of alternative mobo's greatly received.

Hello there :)

Looks nice but for the same price on the motherboards i would try the DFI or the Abit x38 motherboards, heres the link http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?&groupid=701&catid=5&subid=946&sortby=priceAsc

And for the memory try the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) or the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GB22GB8500C5DC) which quite a few ppl recommend

Dont know anything about water cooling so gonna leave that to the experts on these forums ;)

Good luck with the build and hope i was a help :)

Thanks for that, i'kk check out the memory.

Just been offered a Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4 Intel X38 plus E8400 for £220. Is this a better option than the current mobo and cpu?

The E8400 will overclock much further than the Q6600, so better for Games.

The P5K Premium board is an awesome overclocker, but I'm sure that PCI-E 2.0 enabled X38 Gigabyte board is sufficiently good at O/Cing.
