Borked 360 - Box Question

My 360 is dead, Iv phoned microsoft and got the ref number and stuff, im being told to return it in a plain brown box

Now this is the first time its died, May seem like a silly question but Iv no idea when it comes to boxes

Im assuming my local post office will sell them?
If so is there a specific size box

Im asking on here as i cant be assed walking down and finding out cos its freezing

Measure your 360...go to the post office and buy a box thats those dimenions + some extra and a lot of bubblewrap.

Leave it in the hands of the useless barstewards that are parcelforce..

It will be UPS that collect and deliver his 360 not parcelforce.
UPS are pretty good as they should be they have had plenty of practice.

Thankfully haven't had any RROD (Touchwood) yet, so was blissfully unaware, and parcelforce make me shudder

I accidently sent mine away in the normal 360 box as it dosnt tell you not to when you apply for the repair online - what happens? (seriously)

Seriously though, should be fine, might end up taking a tad longer or getting sent back in a plain box at very worst?

Nothing happens. My bro sent his back in the normal 360 box, with the addresses etc stuck on. Was fine. It came back within the stated 25 days etc. (think it took about 2 weeks)

Just got the RROL on Wednesday - Funny thing is, Microsoft claim my Xbox is out of warrenty. However it was purchased (by my bro) on Dec 24th 2006 as an xmas pressie - Regardless, Was collected by UPS yesterday and delivered to MS today...Hoping to see it back soon !

I sent it in a standard box i had with a huge amount of Bubblewrap. My Bros Xbox has the same issue, i ordered an return for him via the internet which it accpeted. They collected mine 1st, his still has not been collected. Has anyone else ordered there return online and know how long he will be waiting for a collection ?

Im also wondering - will my old 360 come back? Or a replacement or a refurbed xbox? I think they do a complete test on the hardware as my mate sent his back with the 3RROD and the disk drive had been replaced too yet it was the same box! I'm sure there are PLENTY of people on here that can help me with this?
