Attempted to update my BIOS on DFI Ultra-D using the winflash app. Seemed to go ok till it rebooted now I just get some clicking sounds & fans going. Anything I can do??

Unless anyone can help you to reflash the board there are companies like this that could help.....

http://www.biosflashuk.com/index.html
http://www.burntec.com/bios.asp

I have used the first one myself with great success.

Going back a while now I remember stuffing up a bios upgrade to a DFI N-Force 2 chipset board and ended up having to 'Hot flash' it.....

note that the above thread is quite old, although you might get some help from that forum.

Good luck

BTW - I assume that you have used the jumper to reset the cmos etc etc etc...?
You could strip the board down to the absolute minimum (with one stick of memory), reset the cmos and leave the battery out for a while, not connected to the PSU, and then see how you go.

Of all the motherboard makes that I have owned over many years I always worry when it comes time to flash a DFI one

In all the years of flashing mobo bioses, I've never had a problem until I tried flashing via windows. I used to always flash in dos. It was my Gigabyte DS4 which thank goodness had a dual bios, so it reverted to the backup bios. It was my first windows flash and probably the last. Best to just do those kinda things through DOS. I know it doesn't help your situation, but if others are reading this, might prevent the heartache :)
