Bosch Multi-Cutters

I'd say the cordless version. I wish I had gone for the cordless DeWalt multitool now. Went for the wired as it was cheaper and it's a tool I envisioned only using now and again, but after realising how useful they are I use it a lot more now and it would be great to not have to faff about with an extension lead.

Just looking at the cordless Bosch on Youtube and it looks to be a decent bit of kit. I like the tooless blade change, another benefit over the corded.

Edit, thats a great price with a battery, charger and accessory pack. Well worth the extra £70.

On the flip side, I would go wired - I hate running out of battery charge half way through a job, and I always forget to get batteries out to charge the night before starting :o

yep, for a tool like this wired...
but also, on a tool like this, tooless blade changing is a must. I chose the [wired] dewalt saw for that reason - blades are horse-shoe type mounting and are quick release. Whenever I use it I usually have a handful of blades where I'm working and change them a lot (cutting different materials, sizes etc) If you have one which requires an allen key to change the blade you will probably never change it, thus using thr wrong blade for the job!

have a look to see if you can get Saxton blades for it too. I bought a set and they have proven to be worth it as the OEM blade's prices will make your eyes water!

These days with brushless motors and 3/4/5 ah batteries and fast charger, wired is not necessary at all. There are even wireless sliding mitre saws coming out now! Totally disagree a tool like this needs to be wired.

When you have a few batteries like the OP, its easy to always have one charged, but tbh with brushless and high cap batteries you arent going to be swapping them out all day anyway, at least not in my experience. I guess it depends how much work the tool will be doing, but they arent really designed for constant use and cutting thick materials really.

Saxton blades seems pretty decent and you can get them for this tool. Bosch fitting is one of the most common so every cheaper make has blades for the system.

Bought the wireless... Nice selection of tools came with it and already found a use for it out on the drive whilst working on the car :)
I have 2 4Ah batteries + the 3Ah that came with it so there is literally no chance of running out of juice!
So far it looks to have been the right choice :)

Agreed with Mark, cordless all the way. I have the DeWalt multi tool in cordless and I use it for all manner of jobs.
