Boss looking for new laptop!

Hi Guys

My boss is after a lightweight laptop/tablet machine!

I've had a look and HP do the HP Compaq 2710p Business Notebook PC which is a tablet but the weight maybe an issue?

Money is no object, he would like it powerful, lightweight and able to work as a tablet type too?

Anything spring to mind?

I have until Monday to come back to him with options!

Toshiba laptops are better than most. Toshiba Tecra for a business machine, Toshiba Portege for tablets.

I've had stability issues with Vista Business on my new Toshiba Satellite Pro, really annoying, so if simplicity / reliability is important, seriously consider an XP Pro machine, at least until Vista SP1 is released.

Oh sorry I forgot to say XP is a must, he doesn't have the time nor want to use Vista!

I saw a news reader today on Sky news and she had a thin tablet machine but for the life of me I couldn't make out what make/model it was

Otherwise, if he wants a tablet, take a look at the Toshiba Portégé M400 Series running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.
