hi,
I have a AMD FX 6100 3.8 GHz
and i am hoping to purchase a MSI GTX 770.

now i know that there would be some bottlenecking involved here but could anyone please tell me how much performance i would lose through this

i will be playing games such as, Metro last light, battlefield 3, battlefield 4 (on release) and many games around that sort of 'grahical' quality.

could someone give me a percentage i could lose?
thanks! :p

If you could clock the CPU higher, at 1080P I doubt it would be that bad. It isn't far off a 2500K and that copes nicely @ 1080P :)

thanks for the replies, but could anyone give me rough estimate of how much performance i could lose? :p

Depends on the game. In most games you won't lose anything, but in others you may lose 5-10% depending on how reliant the game is on the cpu and how much the game benefits from a faster IPC or extra cores/trheads. For one gpu though the difference is small and probably not worth worrying about. Once you have two gpu's though (670/7950 or faster) anything less than an i7 is going to hold your cards back considerably in some games.
