Hi

i have been doig the company accounts and "should" have 300 quid spare next week and has made me wonder if i should buy my new graphics card now before i get proper money in september to buy a new computer.

( if you remember i was going to buy a computer in july but i decided driving lessons was a better investment)

anyway this money should be "spare cash" and as so i think i might buy it but am i going to see significant improvements on my x1950xtx considering my pc is a amd x2 4400 + 2gb pc3200 ram ? will this card be bottlenecked by the processor?

thanks

cai

It'll be bottlenecked at lower resolutions, get the 512 version instead and save the money for a Core2 upgrade later down the line, the 1GB 2900 is pointless.

imho, wait till when nvidia release their new cards, im not too hot on when this is exactly, but if you wait, you wont regret it.

those things are supposed to blow everything away, so ive speculated

lol upgrading to quad core + ddr3 memory+ mobo in september anyway so it is just in the short term if it wiull bottleneck.

do we have any specs on the new nvidia cards? :S i though they weren't planned to be released until atleast november... :S
