bottleneck?

Are there any bottlenecks in my system; What could be causing an overall reduced performance with this setup?

Phenom II X6 1055T @ 4.2ghz
HIS Radeon 6970 2GB (core and mem overclocked)
Crucial XMS3 4GB 1600Mhz Dual Channel
Asus Crosshair III Formula 790FX
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 250GB SATA-II

I would be tempted to say the hdd r/w speeds let down everything else, though im not sure if thats a serious performance stopper with this rig

well im noticing in some tessmark benchmarks, things like gtx 460s + 480s seem to out do my score

Erm well i think medieval total war 2 - sometimes lags on max graphics in cut scenes, no idea why, its like 5 years old
