Hi, as title suggests im going to be getting a 4870 in a weeks time but I just want to make sure that my E6750 won't bottleneck it otherwise there isn't really much point :)

Is it a worthwhile upgrade to what I've got at the moment because I don't want to be disspointed if the performance isn't worth the £££'s. It should only cost me around £100 after I flog my 2 cards on fleabay. Endless problems with SLI, Just want a decent single performer :)

Also last thing, would I be able to keep an 8800 and use it as a physx card and the 4870 as the vga and would the extra heat + more expensive 4870 (only selling 1 on fleabay) be worth it or just get rid of both. Not even sure it can work like that so thought I'd ask :)

Cheers.

Not with a 4870 it wont, he'd have to get another Nvidia card to be able to use the GT with it for PhysX.

According to this you can. Not the best site in the world but it seems to be possible. No details on how to enable it and surely there would be driver conflicts as well. The screenies do show Nvidia and ATI drivers at the same time. Either they have found a way to do it or it's BS?
