So i just got my ATI 5670 only problem is my CPU is uber crap

its a AMD 4200+ @ 2.2Gghz

How many Ghz i need on it to stop bottlenecking?

I just upgraded from that exact same CPU to a Phenom 965 using the same GPU which is an 8800GTS

To give you an idea I was running BC2 in 1680, forcing DX9, no AA and everything set to low or medium

Now I have everything set to full with 4 x AA in DX10

5670 is not really that fast a card, as it is slower than a 9800GT and HD4770.

I'd try to overclock that CPU to 2.5GHz at least. I'm not sure how well that Athlon X2 would overclock (there are other factors such as the motherboard as well), but I've overclocked my mom's single core Athlon 3500+ from 2.2GHz to 2.7GHz.

Also, check your log for CPU vs GPU usage to sell which is used to 100%.

GPU/CPU/Mem interactions and bottlenecking are generally to do with the capacity of the northbridge on the MoBo.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong
