they don't seem too bad an idea until you realise all the leads are designed to come from above, so the sata power plugs are upside down, whats worse is when you drop a screw it falls straight through the fan guard and you have to take the bloody thing out and shake it to get the little bugger back, grrrrr..


Some cheap advice, make sure you cover the thing with a piece of paper when changing anything in the expansion ports

I've got an Antec 900 so bottom placed PSU and I've never done that and have dropped loads of screws, I lay the PC down when I'm doing stuff to it though.

It was only a small job, putting in a usb card, didnt want to shift the whole tower, I think im needing a new screwdriver, the magnetic tip is really weak now. either that or get the blu-tack out :)

Another option is have the case on it's side, so when you drop a screw it won't go in the PSU...
