Yeah, style 'American Brown Ale' meaning Brown Ale is part of the name.

As I said, not always accurate. It's a New Zealand Hopped beer, not sure where they got American from.

I'm happy with your decisions, I just didn't realise some of them would meet requirement. I don't really think of Stout, IPA, Porter, etc to be part of the name.

Amazing brewery! Not had that one though.

Was it out of date by any chance? I know it was retired but not sure when.

About 3 years out of date, hence why it was free... There's a nice beer shop by my sisters uni I like to pop into when I go down there and spent 20 mins chatting about 8 wired, their Saison is my all time favourite beer and the guy went out back to have a look for some for me but came back with a free/off brown ale.

Can't imagine it would have been that great in date sadly, pretty much all brown ales have roughly the same taste to me.

I have to be in the mood for a Brown Ale, if I am I usually like them (If it's a good one) Same with Stouts and Porters.

8 Wired HopWired and Super Conductor are cracking beers, if you like big hoppy IPAs.

I'd like to add that my beer was really good and I was disappointed that I was driving so could only have one pint. I've been back since and sampled more of their beers (and of course taken some pictures) and I haven't found a duffer yet.

They do some cracking beers in Briarbank. They're also starting to supply a few pubs in town now too. There are some really diverse beers up the road in the Spread Eagle these days.

Oh I know what you mean, the HopWired and Super Conductor are massive favourites of mine, as well as the tall poppy red ale :)

Yes, they really do. I take it that's where you were last night? I've also tried the limited edition version of the Black Horse Stout and that was even better than the normal stuff. If you've not tried either of them yet, they're thoroughly recommended.

Interesting about the supply. I asked last week where they supply and she told me it was just themselves, Isaacs and one other (the name escapes me) so it's good news if they're getting spread further around.

I hope that you lot know that black isn't a colour it is actually the complete opposite, an absence of colour.

It's also not in your little colour chart thingy ;)

I really like the Black Horse Stout - very drinkable and doesn't need to be served too cold. I wasn't there last night though - was out in Woodbridge instead.
