Bought a 2.4ghz mouse. Issues with network?

It was rather spur of the moment, but the mouse is comfortable and I'm pleased with it. However it is 2.4ghz rather than bluetooth, and I remember reading that wireless networks + 2.4ghz devices can go badly.

It's still in the packaging, should I return it for a bluetooth one or will this be fine?

Draft N network, fairly cheap azurewave router. Logitech MX620.

Cheers

edit: Google says bluetooth is also 2.4ghz but I'm not sure this is the point. Seems unsure whether issues can arise or not

Shrug. Seems to work.

Damn. I do have issues. The network isn't disconnecting, but the mouse is sometimes ignoring my pushing the buttons and not picking up motion. Tried a variety of surfaces and the mouse thinks it'll work on glass, so it's probably the network or a dodgy mouse.

Any ideas? Either I take it back and try a replacement, or I have to find a new mouse. Which would be sad, as I like this one.

Yeah, mouse behaves fine with the network off. Well, router unplugged.

Behaviour exists on channel 3 and 9 but is frustratingly hard to pin down precisely, it works fine for a while then fails to for five seconds or so. Vexing.

Struggling to find the G5, is it still in production? There's a G500 which looks to be similar to the current one, except with a cable and more buttons.

Sad really, I'm very fond of this one, my first 'good' mouse. Considering changing to a wired network as a solution. A different wired mouse makes sense too, not completely convinced wireless mice are the way to go. Cheers Setter

Damn. I'm also getting occasional disconnects when the mouse is turned on and none when it's turned off. I think it's going back to the retailer, and I shall pick a wired one. Quite saddened by this, but can't really justify dropping the network for a mouse.
