Bought a 2nd hand S7000 and heres a photo

Hi guys,

im totally new to cameras but i bought this s7000 off a mate who was selling it due to him upgrading, and ive just had a play this evening.

I need to read the manual i think!

Point and shoot cameras do not handle high ISO's well, that is why your shot is very grainy.

Don't worry SDK is jsut comparing it to his beast of a macro setup

That's a nice shot... wheres the "after" picture... the one where that fly is gone...

oh its the only one (of about 30) that came out ok!

any ideas for how i can get the camera to be less grainy please - other than resizing the photo.

Reduce the iso setting. The photo you posted is taken on iso640. Anything above iso100 will give you some noise.

try running it through noiseware as well http://www.imagenomic.com/ this should help remove a lot of the noise and graineyness
