Bought a Canon 10-22mm Lens

Hi guys,

Very happy guy just bought me a new lens, and pick it up tomorrow. Now i just want you guys to tell me i havent been a tool.

Its a year old ( NOT GRAY IMPORT seen all the EU warranty etc) As New lens with box and all the bits.

I have paid £400 for it. Good or Bad Decision??

I use one regularly, think we paid around £700 if my memory is correct. Only use it for property/estate agent jobs. I'm sure you'll like it!

ill mainly be using it for landscape stuff. Starting to do a lot of mountain treks. so want to get some amazing shots

I got an older second hand one for about £370 so that sounds about right if its not that old

Is there a difference between the older lens and the newer?

I think you may have misunderstood what Phal said. When he said he got an older second hand one, he probably meant that it was over a year old. There is only one version of this lens.

I did have one prior to moving to full frame - it is a very nice lens capable of some excellent results. I think you'll enjoy it

It's an awesome lens, I love mine. £400 sounds like a good deal for a year old one.

Sure you'll have fun with it - if it was any wider you'd have to crop out your own ears

just wish i could get my hands on a ND 10 stop filter before i go to ben nevis tomorrow.
