Bought a car and its shagged.... How should I proceed? Help

Yeah I think the dealer is taking it back as its not worth the drama, if it sold quite easily the first time then chances are it will be tarted up to not draw any attention and the next owner may well end up seriously screwed.

I just never thought importing from Africa was a thing, I mean why? Normally its the cars leaving here to go there (often the nicked ones)

Also an interesting definition of "shagged"

I came in here expecting bottom end knock or something.

Did you HPI check it before agreeing to buy it? Surely that would have determined if it was an import?

If dropping circa £20k on a car, I'd always do a HPI check.

Good result though.

OP stated later that it's a UK car which was originally exported to Africa with an owner, then brought back to the UK again.

No he stated thats what he was told, but the sale paperwork was for a south african dealership.

£20,500 for a 6 year old z4? the most expensive one near me is £19K and is 3 years old the 28i though. £15K gets me a 3.0 2012 so 7 years old. so you paid £5.5K more for 1 year newer and the 35i? likely make no noticeable difference in day to day driving.

It's an 35is, they still command quite a bit of cash
