Hey guys,
I bought a dreamcast yday when I was in town for £13 which I was pretty chuffed about.I need some games so recommend me some of your favourites and also how much are VGA cable for Dreamcast?
I saw a clip of Dreamcast visuals in an interview with Peter Moore the other day. They looked amazing even now. It was such a shame that it all went terribly wrong. It's before my time with consoles so I don't know what exactly happened but I'd say you are in for a treat.
I might try and find a new Dreamcast. Mine died a couple of years ago. They were brilliant for arcade games. I wonder how well they work with HDTVs over VGA?
Resident evil : code veronica
(although if you have a ps2, get the ps2 version - got more things in it.)
House of the dead 2
(Get a light gun too!)
Crazy Taxi
Power Stone
Shenmue 1&2
Tell you what, theres so many good games, im having trouble remembering them. The ones here should keep you going though definitly.
I bought one a few weeks ago. Have it hooked up via an official Scart cable and a VGA box for those games that support it. Both look absolutely awesome although the VGA obviously has the edge and is worth getting if you have an HDTV.
I've got 34 games so far but haven't tried a lot of them yet.
So far I've had a quick blast at Sonic Adventure which looks a lot of fun; a play with Ecco, which looks very nice; racked up 50+ hours on Skies of Arcadia; got beaten up by the cpu at Street Fighter Alpha 3 and played a bit of Resident Evil 2 which is apparently the best looking version and it certainly looks nice for such an old game.
I imported my VGA box from the US, was only £16 on ebay.
Apparently Sony PR killed it off because everyone waited for the PS2, and when it turned up it wasn't much different to the Dreamcast, although the fact it played DVDs helped as well.
get 3 more pads, a 3 crates of booze, 3 mates round and virtua athlete.
the power of 3.
Most people held out for PS2 etc, it was a gem of a console, much like the gamecube was, though the gamecube held its own and did pretty well eventually.
