bought a first car... opinions

I'd have several friends who have stacked cars that were insured under their parents name with them as a named driver and non of them have had a problem when claiming.

Though i'm still glad I payed £1700 to insure my first 1.2 Clio last year because i'm insuring something a damn sight faster for around a grand this year with 1ncb at 18. It is worth the sting in the first year if you make the 1yr ncb.

What car are you insuring now?

I think its a driving style adjustment thing as well, i drive the clio about once a week and thats only if i have to.

I agree, I have to swap between a 200BHP diesel, and a 100BHP diesel all the time, and you have to remember that you are in the slower car, as it does appear to take an age to accelerate in comparison.. once or twice I have forgotten and pulled out a little late, not accelerating fast enough and feeling a bit sheepish at holding up the traffic I've just pulled out in front of..

That's not the car's fault, that's my fault..

The smaller cars do their jobs well but if you want space comfort and sometimes performance move on up a class :)

Not bad! Corsas aren't my thing, but definitely decent for a first car. I agree with others though on a cheaper car to begin with. My first car was a £500 Mk3 Fiesta Sapphire 1.8D :D

I loved that car, served me very well. It was slow on paper, but I had no problems with the performance. The handling was less than stellar though :D

as her names in the logbook she has 2 insure it

Didnt see a reply to this.

I own both the cars in my house, my name is on both logbooks. My wife insures her car, i insure mine (we are named on each others only).

so your comment is quite correct ;]
