Playing Devil's advocate here, but you don't know what's happened in his personal life lately. He may have lost his mother, or lost access to his phone line and hasn't been able to get online.

Or he could be a dirty scammer

I've done it before using paypal (not on ebay though but another website) and as long as you have reason to doubt it, it should go through fine.

I'd be ****** if a real one turned up! I'd NEED the iPhone 4 like NOW but the prices are just amazingly high (none contract).
