Stupidly i bought an OEM CPU instead of retail so am left with no heatsink to go in my media centre pc. As the case is a NSK-1300 i am quite limited in space although i won't be using a fan. Does anyone have a suggestion for a low height effective cpu heatsink?

You could get the OEM one second hand for very cheap. I bet you could make a thread in the Wanted forum and have one very quickly. You might also look at the Scythe Mini Ninja.
