So bought a optoma hd65
Perfect for my needs

Now I'm going to set this up with a 100" screen in my living room..i don't require cinematic sounds bit I do want a neat and tidy setup. Which is not so expensive

What would be the best option? I have no idea. Sound bar? If so how do they connect?

Ideas and recommendations please
 
I'm not a fan of soundbars personally - for a reasonably decent sound at a good price I'd give Overlocker's Edifier section a browse: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/peri...eaker-systems?ckSuppliers=195&ckTab=0&sSort=2

On another note I'd look to see if there are any widely recommended calibration settings for the projector - with my HD70 there were settings a couple of reviewers recommended that transformed skin tones.

The settings I use though I doubt they are transferable to the HD65:

contrast: 2
bright: 0
sharp: 1
brilliant color: 4
true vivid: 3
color temp: 1
red bias: -14
green bias: -12
blue bias: -13
image AI: off (personal preference)
red gain: 6
green gain: 5
blue gain: 6

I actually use image enhancements a bit these days as typical netflix, etc. content tends to benefit more from it than higher bitrate stuff or gaming, etc.
