and at desktop idle it draws 271 watts, though it went to 200 when screensaver was on. playing games it goes to 460 watts

quite interesting to see how much your rig really sucks from the wall:)

Bought one a while ago and I get 500w with my system in my sig with Furmark running and Prime.
When I had my 480 got 615w, the 580 has a inbuilt power monitor.

Bought one a while back myself. At idle the system draws 280w ono, gaming 630w ono, prime95, 470w, furmark, 740w. Furmark and prime95 together was 860w, psu is a corsair hx850w, spec in sig. Gpu's clocked at 750/1500/1674 on stock volts of 0.987, cpu @4.2ghz, 1.312500 vcore.

This is the one that i bought.

£20 from a well known UK electronics chain beginning with 'M'

good little unit, got the best reviews for accuracy

seems I have some overhead on my PSU...

i read this thread and thought - what a good idea!

so i ordered a nice one from a well known retailer with the same name as a brazilian jungle ;)

it had fantastic reviews and there was a very detailed review about its accuracy - so i ordered one :D

Your rig only draws 23w less than mine even if i run Linx and Furmark burn in test both at the same time. Your idle seems way too much.

Idle 141w
Linx 305w
Linx and Furmark 1.90 burn in test 493w
