Bought a s/h Sony Digital8 Handycam, where can I buy "Picture Package" sofware for it

Basically need the software so I can connect it to the PC to burn movies to DVD etc.

Bought the cam secondhand so no disk with it.

Sony site just links to a support site for the software but there is no information about how to buy the software, only updates for it if you already own it.

All you need is a firewire cable and a copy of Nero7 (for burning to dvd) and windows movie maker 2 (for capturing to 16:9 WMV9 Pro)

I use both and they work flawlessly, I usually just convert the DV capture to WMV9 and store on HDD as it's at 2.1MB/sec and is nice filesize with DVD-like quality displaying at 856x480 res, if I want it on DVD I just import the wmv into nero vision express and burn it as a DVD video.

I have the same camcorder.

No probs! it's a nice camcorder, only wish it had a Memorystick slot to record to instead of tape as I have a 1gb ms pro duo card I could have used!

that wouldnt give you more than about 4 minutes. video reording doesnt work like that, no camcorders can save to solid state memory
