So I bought my first 1080p monitor. I went with the LG IPS234V which is fantastic. Amazing colours no ghosting and great sharpness.

Games are quality in full HD. I use the monitor with my laptop and an HDMI cable. I extend the screens so I run the two in different resolutions as the lappy is not quite full HD.

Anyways..... My problem is that the browser (Chrome/IE) is ridiculous. Google for example uses a tiny portion of the screen and wastes so much space. How can it be optimised for an HD screen?

Also what multi monitor software (if any) do you guys use? I Hear Actual Multi Monitor and Ultamon are quite good?

as for webpages, some are full screen and some only use the middle section of the screen, thats just the way it is as far as im aware

I use DisplayFusion as my multi-monitor software.

Web pages will be displayed as they are designed and that is that really. Why stretch something to fill if the page is fully viewable and usable in the smaller section of space available?

Some sites will stretch to fit but are coded in this way.

Take it up with Google, does not annoy me at all really.

In-fact, having the title and brief detail of that page span THAT much width would be annoying for quick reading/overview so I prefer it how it is.

I had my eye on this monitor for a long time too, think I will get it now!
Very strange but:
LG IPS234V 5ms response time
LG IPS235V 14ms response time

But the LG IPS235V is supposedly superior/more expensive? So confused.

Have you tried to detect any ghosting in FPS games by the way?
