Bought first MBP 13"

Thought I'd bump this rather than create my own thread.

Just placed my order for 13" MBP, base model. First time using Apple hardware and software, so I'm hoping it'll be a good experience. I had a little play around on one in the Apple Store earlier, and despite a few niggles (incredibly reflective screen, although I put that down to the light conditions) and finding it difficult to get used to the transistion from Samsung NC10 keyboard to one of those, it looks fantastic.

Any first-timer tips? Going to grab a Speck hard case asap as well :)

Assuming you're coming from Windows, prepare to think about certain functions a little differently. Installing, mounting/unmounting drive logic is a little different. Aside from that it's not that difficult to get going and just ask on here of course.
 
Also, another thing people may be able to help me with.

I'm looking for a Speck Hard Case for a 13" MBP in black. I can only find the MB version and alternate colours for the 13" MBP. A few places I've seen are out of stock, and I tried eBay with no luck :(

Mind doing some photos - am interested as I know the benefits, but thought they just didnt look sturdy and might ruin the sleek look of the MBP

May get one for mine

Ahh I had the impression it was left on the MBP permanently and had heard stories of it scratching the MBP due to them not regularly removing and cleaning it. Sounds like its an alternative to a laptop sleeve/foofbag then..

It would ba a pain to take it out and in daily! You will mostly likely break the clip after a while.

They are sturdy, mine fits nice and snug actually, it doesn't affect it in anyway. I can close it, open it just the same, all the ports are accessible. It adds a slight bulk as it is hard plastic.

Even the Apple Logo lights up with the nice colour tint :)

I quite like my MBP unfettered. Somewhat defeats the point of having that beautiful Aluminium body if you go and shove a plastic case on it.

As an aside, the Speck iPhone cases look crap too!
