So, today I bought my first iPhone. Its a white 16GB 4S.

I've never had an iPhone because previously I've had my phones etc paid for by my parents and the iPhone was far out of budget, but I've had a Touch since generation 1.

I was wondering what cases you guys use on your iProducts? I am ideally looking for quite a low profile case, I don't want something large and chunky. Any suggestions and recommendations would be cool :D

Naked is definitely a viable option. The 4S is pretty tough for what it is. Obviously, the resale value wont be very high so keeping immaculate while never actually witnessing the beauty of it is kind of a waste IMO.
If you do want to keep everything prestine, check out the glass screen protectors by SGP called Glas.t. ive got the power support air jacket for my iPhone 5 so they may have one of them for the 4S.

It's a slippery phone but I went two years without dropping it (but maybe that's because I'm awesome)

Your mileage may vary but as long as you're not a complete klutz I would say it stands up well without a case

I would look at a wet application screen protector, which ever seems to offer the best feeling for the 4s. I currently have a Best Skins ever on my Nexus 4 (Removed the back for a dBrand skin). This way your phone doesn't have a nasty case and it has protection to some degree.

Screen protectors? Or commando?
Commando. I tried many different types in the early days and never really liked any of them. Just be a little careful when you put the phone in your pocket, I've got into the habit of it always going in my left pocket (change and keys etc go in my right pocket) with the screen facing my leg.

I've never scratched one yet.

You ever tried glass screen protectors? Feel even better than the actual glass!

I have run all my iPhones naked. I just can't find a case I feel comfortable with. I liked the Apple official bumpers for the iP4 but they were quite flimsy and just used to break apart after a while so I gave up.

Right pocket for me, with nothing else in said pocket.

used my 4s for 1 1/2 years naked and it's picked up some light scratches/marks on the glass. I've gone zagg front and back on my new htc one and they are nice, give a really grippy feel on the back so it can't slip off anything like the 4s glass did.

In 2 years I only dropped mine once which put a small dink in the metal around the edge. I had screen protectors on it from day one.

How about this click me

I use the field version on my iPhone 4 and its genuinely the only reason I haven't upgraded to an iPhone 5! (they don't make one for the iPhone 5 yet).

Really low profile and sophisticated. I've dropped my phone so many times and there's not a mark on it.

This is how mine picked up scratches off drops only. I had front and rear screen protectors, and when they come off, it looks like 'almost' new.
