Hello,

I wanted more storage and upgraded to a Vertex 4 256gb SSD from a Crucial C300 128gb. I did consider finding another 128gb for Raid however I don't 'move' enough large data daily to see the benefits.

I will also be installing a 2TB and 500GB HDD as well.

What do you suggest I do with the old 128GB?

Assuming that you play games, install your non steam games on it, leaving space on the vertex for steam.

Best of luck with the OCZ drive, imo you'd have been better sticking with what you had, judging by their failure rates :(.

No Steam games - would put some on the Vertex and rest on the 2TB HDD.

Good so far on 1.5 FW; let's hope it keeps going.

My thinking is to have :

128GB SSD for OS w/programs/user data and a clean install image
256GB SSD for important games
2TB HDD for alternate games / movies / media content
500GB HDD for another clean install image and incremental backups on schedule

I know the install image on the 128GB is questionable, but it seems like the only good use of the spare space, which may come in handy if Windows corrupts.

Failing that, I'd sell the Crucial.
