Bought some LED strips

Putting them on the underside of your motherboard would be a bad idea  Unless you are 100% sure of insulation, the risks is a bit much for the reward. Don't know what ones OCUK sell but if you do a search for SMD LED tape you should you'll find this type. They can be daisy chained very easily and you can run loads off of one molex

@ azibux1 Nice work there ;)

Thanks for the heads up, I'm not even 100% sure I can fit them in a 500R anyhow, as its just dawned on me the bottom edge and half of the right side don't use stand-offs so there would be no room, would look a bit naff having only the top edge lit up - dream over :p

Don't put them under the motherboard, but I'd still get them and put them elsewhere in the case. Makes it look a lot better (Y)

They're really bright, you can mount them on the roof/floor of the case and it's light the whole lot up

I may do, but it depends what fans I end up putting in, it was just to provide a kind of under-glow, thought it would look pretty sweet :D

May put some in the hidden edges of the case, need to get a window sorted first though!

Yeah I see what you mean, I just googled the 500R and found out that it doesn't have much of a 'window' as such

Nope, there are window kits, but only in the states, fortunately they do list the measurements of everything so it should just be a case of buying a made to measure window and putting it in.
