picked up home premium retail for 211 quid, i was looking at ultimate but it only has 3 extra features which would cost over 100 more for (rip off) and those features dont seem that great anyway, or should i say unneeded.

at least i can reuse this one when i upgrade mobo :) .

i was a little ****** to find that the 64bit disk wasnt included aswell.. but apparently you only get that if you buy ultimate, so i sent off for the 64bit cd (EDIT: i mean dvd lol) for a small charge..

MS already get enough money from us buying vista in the first place yet they make us pay more.

Id say you done well guy. I really cant justify ultimate at the mo, so far I have recieved a rubbish card game and Bitlocker etc, is just not needed.

At least you can change motherboard too. :)

Im sure many users would appreciate the functionality of hp (mce, etc) along with enterprise, (rd, bitlocker, domain)

I know would be one of those. :)

well imo i think ultimate isnt worth spending more for cos u get that backup program aswell, i mean u can get other programs to back files up anyway

You could have just bought the retail upgrade for £150 and performed the install twice trick to save some money. You'll be happy with it though. It's a very nice OS and most won't need the few extras that Ultimate provides.

good to hear, i cant really see me using those extra features anyway

I think you did wrong, but who cares! You should have bought the OEM copy for £70 and if you wanted to upgrade it would have cost you less as 2 x £70 = £140. lol

Hey you even have change for for 3rd copy of the OEM! £70 x 2 = £140, £211 - £140 = £71 change.

You paid £211 =

Well its retail, no fussing about now.. im not disappointed anyway, the extra features in ultimate are pretty much useless to a lot of ppl.

No messing around with OEM?? Retail costs more, i would consider that messing around. You could have put that extra money towards some flash ram, or you Mortgage. lol

Na im kidding nice one!

If you like wasting cash.

lol
:)
