Right, first of all i was recomended to buy Wireless N from Wireless G becasuse my brother complains when i download it slows down his Xbox and makes him lag. I was told this is down to the router but i thought it was down to my internet connection? Which is the reason? The Wireless G router or the internet?
So anyway, i got the router and pci card yesturday. I got the Linksys Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router WRT160N.

First impressions were good in the fact that it all was very easy to set up. I connected it all up and was happy to see my computer gain connection straight away. The only thing that bugged me was the fact that the signal kept jumping from "Low" to "Very Good" but mainly stopping on "Low". when iwas on wireless G i had it on "low". But for the time being i was happy as i could finally play a game online without it disconnecting me. I was told by somone the reason to why the signal is low is becaues i need to find a better channel? Is this correct?
Well, i was going to change the channel - but i woke up this morning to find my dad reinstalling the whole thing. I installed it the day before, i tried to exaplain that it diddnt need a whole reinstall just a change of channels. Thats not all of it though, now when i try to connect in my bedroom according to the Edimax software it has connected but 3 seconds later it will disconnect, then it will reconnect for 3 seconds and disconnect. It keeps doing this over and over. It says it is connected for those 3 seconds but on the Windows Wireless Manager it says "aqquiring network setup" or somthing like that so it doesnt actually get on the internet.
Im pretty annoyed now as my computer wont even connect at all and it was working ok*ish* with me..
Sorry for rambling on but i felt you needed to know every detail. Thanks, Ben.
