What is the equivilant (sp?) of a bounty hunter in the UK and is there such thing as a bounty hunter in the UK?
Bounty Hunting is the same kinda thing as a citizens (sp?) arrest, so would it be legal in the UK or not?

Never heard of a bounty hunter in the UK, it's not legal and we don't have bail bondsmen for a start so if you want to do it then you'd be better going to the US or somewhere that already has such an industry.

Wouldn't be legal over here, there's no legislation or policy in place to allow such a thing for a start, and any attempt to do it would probably be classed as kidnap or detaining someone against their will.

guess the only thing that really comes closes is a bailiff. They can't arrest you but they are employed to issue warrants for people to appear at court

making a citizens arrest is 99% of the time completely not worth the legal risk to yourself, as soon as you detain someone their wellbeing is entirely your responsibility, if they decide to injure themselves then it's your fault :confused:

it is a whole different ball game to chasing bail bonds in the states
