bout the Gelid Tranquillo

i have had this cooler since beginning of this year and mine is for the 1156 and 775 also i7...but i like to reuse this for an 1155 15 2500, and was wondering if i can get a braket for this or need to buy a new cooler all together?

If it fits S1156 it'll fit S1155.

They use the same mounting holes.

Are you getting a 2500K?

That's the one you need for overclocking along with a P67/Z68 motherboard.

no is a i5 2500 im not that botherd bout OCing.. just be on wow/starcraft just want to keep my Gelid as i like the cooler.

My suggestion would be spend the extra £15 or what ever it is and get the 2500K over the 2500. The K chips overclock extremely easily and will hold their value better. With the boards Auto overclock functions and with a cooler like the Gelid Tranquillo you already have the cooling for a mild to mid range overclock as it stands.

It is free performance and makes the 2500K better bang for your buck for a gaming system.
