I have built a wardrobe but noticed that the shelf is slightly bowed after completing it and fitting the back panel with pins, to replace the shelf, it would involve unpinning the entire back and partially dismantling the wardrobe.

Would it be sensible to empty the wardrobe, turn it upside down temporarily, then place a heavy weight on the concave side of the shelf for a day or two?

Alternatively, I could remove the 3 drawers and find something to wedge between the floor a shelf for a few days.

There isn't really any weight stored on the shelf as it stands.

Try fitting an angled piece of aluminium to the shelf over the edge.

I would use a strip of batten underneath the front of the shelf. One can screw through the chipboard into the wood to make a solid attachment.

Or bite the bullet and replace the shelf altogether with some solid pine board.

I loathe chipboard. hateful stuff.

Burns well on wood burner though. :D:D
