Box junction fine

A friend thinks she stopped in a box junction and is worried she will get points. I thought it was only a fine, but I couldn't find it on the DVLA site or anything. Anyone know what's true?
 
Is there a camera on the box junction then? I see so many people sitting in box junctions I wasn't aware it was even punishable with a fine or points!
 
Dad's friend got caught doing this in London. Huge motorhome and only had a bit of the back end in the box (I saw the photo). Pretty sure it was a £60 fine. Definately no points though :)
 
I don't have a problem with this except that there's a boxed double roundabout by me (Not painted, proper brick and tarmac. This is fine, but if someone decides to block the box furthest from you, you can't anticipate not being able to exit because you can't see it and by the time you realise you can't get out you're already there.

This sounds like bad driving but it isn't. It's just one of those placesthat has too much traffic, they've painted yellow lines across to try and clear it but it can't work. If they put cameras on it income tax will reduce. (Black line shows my usual route.)

Forgot to mention, the indent in the road in the top left is not the bus stop. The bus stop is immediately in front of it, faint yellow lines. The buses come about every 5 to 7 minuites and you can imagine what they do to traffic flow.
 
Yeah i wasn't too precise with the line, i did it in a hurry ;)

Ignore the lane discipline, just imagine what it's like on a busy morning with a bus blocking the left lane coming into the second island.
 
I would say sometimes (once every 18 months?)I would have to stop on the yellow box, but this is usually due to other retarded drivers doings.

I think generally, the average driver in the UK is completely crap.
