:D

30'000 people at Hillsborough today! Epic game!

Thought Wednesday played really well, back to what we saw under Sean McAuley the first time he was in charge a few years ago. Nice not to just play the long ball.

Newcastles second goal was offside! Also been told that it was a foul on the keeper? I didn't think so though :p but it's swings and round abouts ;)

Great atmosphere! Cracking! Newcastle fans were really loud first half, The Wednesdayites were really loud second half!

Was nice not to lose :D feels like a victory tbh, just scoring was brilliant :o

No we don't. Torres is playing with an injury and can't train properly and it's strongly reported that Gerrard needs an op on his groin which he's postponing and playing with injections because he wants to help the side out.

Oh and happy B'day Pigeon and Tute.

I heard that they needed ops but would be out for a while with them, you happy to hang on with players not at 100% or would you rather they had the op and could come back fighting fit?

Happy Birthday guys.

Not at all- Mascherano offers nothing going forward - stupid petulant fouls have cost us so much this season from set pieces - skrtel and masch have been the worst culprits.

Alonso did his fair share of tackling as well as some great passing during his time at anfield - he has left a massive creative hole in the centre of our midfield - mascherano and lucas have to step up - yes they have to get the tackles in - but now they have to create too and i think lucas is doing a far better job than mascherano. The lack of goals from our midfield is shocking - these two have to get on the scoresheet if we are to climb up the table. I have seen palacios play recently for spurs - he makes the crap tackle here and there but his passing and forward play is much better - something our players should try to emulate.

Skrtrel has just been awful since his injury at man city last season - apart from his goal recently he has made so many mistakes its unbelievable - Although Sami was old (and slow) - his positional sense saved our backside so many times - skrtels is just shocking. Why rafa got rid i do not know - maybe krygiakos should be given a chance.

People on here know I'm not Masch's biggest fan.

I'd disagree with what you've said though, you don't have Masch in the side to be anything other then a terrier in the middle of the pitch, someone with energy, to press space, close down players and win the ball. I don't think it's right either to slate him for not doing enough going forward he does so much work defensively which in turn lets Liverpool get forward.

His passing is fairly poor, but it doesn't need to be very good, he picks up the ball passes it left or right and then goes about his job. There is a very good reason he's top of the tackles / passes stats. It's ALL his game is about, he doesn't need to worry about any other part of his game. (other then maybe his temper)

I dont think Andy Gray has ever liked Arsenal though. Not that we should lose any sleep over that ;)

I don't know about Andy Gray not liking Arsenal, he like a lot of other pundits / commentators do like to touch themselves over how Arsenal play the "game the right way" and then will slate Mr Wenger for not buying players.

Andy Gray suffers from a lack of knowledge of anyone that isn't top 4.
