Hey all,

I wake up yesterday and use my pc during the evening, playing games etc everything is running smoothly.

I wake up this morning and after a few minutes of use my PC is reporting temps of 98º. Thing is however everything else seems fine. Voltages are what they should be across the board for idle. CPU VCORE is sitting <1v -- Typically a voltage of 1.36v under load would struggle to get the temps to where they are.

This is really confusing me since last night everything was fine :(

Thoughts?

As the guys above have asked, which type of cooler. Any chance the case could have taken a knock which may have jarred the cooler loose?

Sorry for not including that!

It's a Corsair H60 - the older models with the corrugated plastic tubing.

Mobo says that the pump is 'spinning at 4500rpm' which is what the mobo reports when power is supplied to it normally.

I don't think so it's sat on my desk the entire time :/ (and I've just checked it with my hand, solid as a rock, glued on practically!)

Id try a cooler remount just to be sure. Certainly seems strange that its suddenly running so high.

"Warning Will Robinson". Definitely check the cpu cooler. Even if it means testing with a stock cooler. AIO water coolers tend to suddenly just fail all of a sudden. Best of luck

Yeah I'm currently wishing I had a stethoscope to listen to the mount for water flowing :P

UPDATE:

Re-sat cooler, no avail. Popped out on boxing way and managed to pick up an H55 at a nearby store. Works a treat.

Appears to be a pump failure in my H60.
