Finally got round to replacing the original lights. I've been putting it off a bit because its hard to justify the cost (£800 ish) for a purely cosmetic mod, but after spending a fair bit of cash on refreshing the suspension and other bits and pieces I really love the car and have decided I'm going to keep it for at least a couple of years.

Theres no doubt that the car looks quite a bit better without the orange. Also, Porsche have stopped making these lights now so they are going to be harder and harder to get hold of, so when I come to sell I'll get my money back.

Very pleased with it to be honest, and with only having 45k miles on it I'm happy to keep this a while now and then upgrade to either 987 or a 997 in a couple of years

£800 for the front and rear lights isn't that bad, a pair of new headlights for me are £700+ alone.

Yeah, and thats 2nd hand! Well, 2nd hand fronts, new sides and LED rears.

About £1400 new with prices rising constantly since they stopped making the fronts. SHould have done it when I first bought the car - a full kit was only about £550 new.

Buy the non Xenon facelift ones from GSF for £350 and transfer your Xenon control gear across. It even has the mounting holes for the ballast brackets.

Nah, plate belonged to the person I bought the car from, but it took a while for the new ones to come through so we had a gentlemans agreement for me to take the car and then transfer the plate back to him.

I'm tempted to get an ageless plate though

That's a lot of money for lights. It has made a difference though, much, much nicer now, the rear especially!
