Bradford Fire - The truth ?

An interesting story in the Guardian who are serialising a new book on the Bradford Fire disaster. Does make you wonder.

It does need looking at again. Even if it was deliberate, nobody is saying that people were injured and killed deliberately. The speed it took hold was incredible. I used to go Southend regularly and their main stand was similar. Really made you think.

The fire doors being locked was the biggest cause of the deaths though I believe.

It was a day of celebration, just won the league and promotion, and at the start of the fire no-one had any idea how serious it was. I mean 4 mins from start until it was gutted. Its unthinkable really.

Documentary last night has named the bloke whose dropped cigarette started it. He wasn't named at the time but he has since died so have named him.

Not sure that was the right thing to do personally.
