Hi there,

The following is the rig I am going to build:

2 x Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11227-03-40G) £329.99
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £245.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £157.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case - Black (CC-9011030-WW) £129.95
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £109.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H105 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060016-WW ) £89.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £53.99

It's been like... a long time, since I built a rig and I plan to be a lot better on this build and keep everything on one colour theme. I'm going for orange, so I wanted some help making sure I get all the right amount of orange braided cables that I'll need in order to connect everything up. There is also 3 HDD's, one of which is an SSD.

Could someone help me (so that I dont mess up) choose the right amount of cables I'll need. Was looking at these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=701&catid=1428&subid=2659

Just throwing it out there. Braiding your own cables is super simple as long as you have the patience. You can save a hell of a lot of money too. I just did mine and am super happy with the results. :D

You will need.

Mobo:
1 x 24 pin http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-005-BX&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2659
1 x 8 pin http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-004-BX&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2659

GFX Cards:
4 x 6/8 Pin (not sure what the 290 takes) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-002-BX&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2659 OR http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-003-BX&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2659

HDD:

3 x Sata http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-001-BX&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=2659

What power do your HDD's take? Are they all SATA powered or molex?

If you want fan extension cables you'll have to provide more details. Someone may need to double check but that should be most of what is mainly visible.
