Braiding advice.

Good evening overclockers.

I'm in the process of doing a little bit of case modding. As you can see I've went for a blue and black theme.

I have one of these NZXT 24-pin pre-braided cables and was wondering what you think I should do with it. Should I just leave it as it is? Do you think it would be worthwhile removing all the braid and heatshrink to then just put different stuff back on?

Also, if I change the braid on it, how do you think I should go about it?
i.e. Make every second wire blue, or every third wire blue? Just wondering what you think will look best.

sounds like an awful lot of work involved but i don't think you're the person to be bothered by that

If you're going to go all out and customise your pc, you may as well re-braid it to the colour theme you want

as for the colour, how about all black but with the ends being in blue? (would save you a lot of work too

)

When you say all black but the ends in blue, do you mean like this?

Think he meant keep the black braid, but replace the black heatshrink with blue

yes like this, the ends (both heat shrink and braid) in blue. just an idea that, in my opinion, would look cool and would involved less work

personally id braid individual cables at each end alternate colours then over the middle 2 thirds cover the whole bunch in one braid so you get lots to one big one to lots again. I think it looks a bit different and makes it stand out better.
