Braiding power cables?

Would you say buying a braided set of cables is a case mod or not?

Not personally. It's a PSU mod if its done on the power cables I guess.

Whilst not strictly a case mod, I've seen such things put under a category of the same name before, simply because they're mods to appearance and not necessarily actual hardware.

Pre-braided cables aren't mods. They're cables, and personally I'd categorise them as such.

I tend to think of them as pre-modded cables, not pre-modded-case-mod-cables... does that make sense?

Guess technically not, in the same way changing the LED's on fans isn't really a case mode. However it is an Aesthetic modification, and would probably fit best into a case mod sub-sector if you were going to try and categorise it.

I think a mod is something you done yourself to be honest. thats specking in general through.

They should go in the relevant Cable category. The fact that it is a cable over rides the braiding, if i were looking for a selection of cables that happened to be braided then I'd look under cables. Defiantly i wouldn't put them under case mod.
