Basically looking to buy some braiding when I get watercooling.

However, theres various different types

2.5mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm

I'm going to be braiding;

3 SATA Cables (standard ones that came with mobo, no idea length atm)
24 pin ATX power cable
4 pin CPU power cable
~8 fan cables
2 PCIe power cables

So basically, how much metres of each will I need (i'm assuming for example fan and PSU cables will be different size in mm)

Also how much heatshrink?

Thanks.

Wouldn't it be easier for you to just measure it yourself mate?

Then you would be able to get an accurate amount, people can only guesstimate on how much you need because PSU wire lengths vary.

I don't know about heatshrink, sorry.

Was looking for approx number, but main point in thread was to see what the 2.5mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm is used for

As I have no idea which is used for the pcie, fan, psu, sata, etc.

Ah right sorry my bad then mate. I just buy the pre-braided cables, saves all the hassle :D.

Yeah I was looking but its like £5-10 per pre-braided cable, wheere as it's like £0.5 per metre of braiding cable :p

I don't trust myself with the cables, especially with the power ones, mess them up and my motherboard will sizzle aha.

You've only really got to make sure you put them back on properly

I'd just have the full cable set out, take out 1 at a time and remember which side each were at :p

Haha it would be fun to try to be fair.

I also want to try them custom fan LED's.

Apart from sata cables, pre-braided would cost me £47 (6 fans on rad, 2x 6pin pcie, 4pin atx12v, 24pin atx)

So wonder how much it would cost to DIY :p
