Is there any noticeable difference between Girling and Unipart brake pads other than the price? Performance not particularly important because it's just in a bog stock 207, as long as they're as good as the originals. There are probably others to choose from but these are what I can get locally (read: and can easily change when I find they don't actually fit the stupid French car).

Why is performance of brake pads not important? Surely that's one of the most important parts of your car? The whole braking system...

until he slams on and the wheels keep turning but by then its too late lol

Guess he wants Dre beats brakepads lots of gold bling that sound utter rubbish

As long as they Reg 90 they'll work (and they aren't allowed to sell linings that aren't).

Ignoring the more exotic lining the main difference is the wear rate and the amount of dust neither of which you can check by looking at the box.

Ah, OcUK motors. Some things never change.

I don't need high performance pads. It's a standard car.

Well, I'm not suggesting track focussed pads, but still, decent quality pads should be a priority here. It's not like I was suggesting DS2500's or 1144's or something. But to say performance is almost irrelevant is taking it a bit far. You don't want this to happen:

I'd merely suggest OEM or equivalent at a minimum. I guess when you said performance you meant over and above OEM, rather than how the pads generally perform then.
