My rear driver side brake caliper seems to be binding, the wheel doesn't spin freely and it pulls slightly to the right when driving along.

I changed the discs and pads and when I went to wind the piston back in it just spun round, however if I wound it out the piston moved out easily enough.

I tapped it with a hammer a few times and then wound it in as far as it would go, but the brakes are still binding on that side.

Any ideas on what to do?

Fit a new or used caliper.

There was a caliper rebuild guide on Rovertech a while back which showed a ring of rust around the piston when removed.

You could try removing and cleaning the piston and bore, and then refitting with new seals... should so the trick.

Or do as Fido says and just fit a new caliper ;)
