somewhere out there!
Hey guys a little help and advice, we have rampant brambles in our garden sadly we are not gardeners and never will be. Basically the last two years we kinda neglected our garden and thus brambles grew and spread some reaching maybe 7ft high!
Anyway we are starting to clear them and have made great progress with both of us vowing the second we see breables in the future we will kill them with fire!
So our question, digging 2ft down and digging them out from the roots is not an option due to we simply couldn't afford it (Our garden is huge!).
Is there something else we can do, or a bramble specific weed killer you can recommend? Is there anything we can do to try and stop them growingback ?

my gardens the same tbh,ive bought me a garden machete to tackle them with, cut them down and burn them once died, use any weedkiller to try and kill them off

then im gonna lay one or two layers of weed suppressing fabric to try and stop them growing back

Rent a weed Wacker (looks like a strimmer but has a heavy metal disk blade) chop it all back burn the waste the get some sodium chloride mix it with several gallons of water and wash the garden paying special attention to the roots of the brambles.

Give it 6 months before planting anything.

Also any plants within a 3ft radius of where you poor the sodium will be affected and possibly killed off.

Ive got a similar problem, i removed an almighty bush (5m x 3m) and sprayed the ground with sodium chlorate, still these things keep coming back. Napalm really could be the only option.

Rosate 36...worked a treat for me.

Be careful if you do use it as is super duper industrial strength stuff, so be very careful where you spray it. Is not very friendly with pets too.
